Some tips for Adult II So here are a few tips based on what I’ve experienced and what I’ve witnessed working well for others: I highly encourage you to read, write, and speak your notes out loud.  Multiple studies  exist that prove learning is multi-sensory. If you're into essential oils, that would be a great way to incorporate smell into the mix as well. There are also numerous studies showing a direct correlation between the olfactory system and learning. Studying with a certain smell, say peppermint, and then incorporating that smell when it’s time to test, improves recall. It’s worked for me anyway! On a sidenote, I also listen to a LOT of Chill tracks and Chillstep (no words) while I study. Then on game day, for the hour leading up to test time, I consume it.  It allows me to block out all the static and keep my mind focused. Many of us are plowing through an Associates program with no Pharmacology course. So, it's up to us to spend the extra time necessary to learn Pharmacology if we expect to pass the NCLEX.  The credit goes to  About ♪♫ in my ♥ for putting this enormous project together. "C" Means Continue.... As we've progressed thru nursing school, it's clear that everyone is discovering which strategies work for them and which one's don't. There is also a lot of info out there to supplement the incredible amount of material we must navigate. Getting organized and concise info is what I'm all about, because that's what works for me.  From where we've come, to where we are going, there is an enormous sea of information, experiences and adventures in between. Hopefully, this blog will serve as one of many ports on your voyage. To the side you'll find links to some of the most helpful videos, webpages and blogs I've discovered. Below I'll include downloadable links to the material I've compiled so far, with updates to come.
